Bob Is My CEO. Bill Handles Bug Fixes. They’re All AI.
After 15 years in SaaS, I left corporate to build with AI and buy cash-flowing assets. Here's what happened in the first seven months.
Bob is my CEO. Bill handles bug fixes. Riker is CMO. Bridget keeps customers happy. They are all AI but I treat them like my employees.
That was the subject of the 125 person webinar I just hosted for Long Angle. There is real momentum around this topic. But first, let me back up.
After 15 years in SaaS, I decided to exit the corporate world last August. It was a time allocation decision. My goal: follow my curiosity, build with AI and buy assets that cashflow.
Since August, I purchased a retail strip mall in Texas, launched a short-term rental in West Palm Beach and attempted to buy two businesses. Those failed attempts led me to discover something — a painful business buying process with no clear solutions.
So, I built SearcherOS. It's an enterprise-grade Salesforce style CRM built for acquiring businesses. It's used by searchers, micro-PE and family offices. It's profitable and growing. Built by a guy with zero Python skills.
Then, the pain of scaling that SaaS led me to something even more interesting. As a solo founder, there isn't enough time in the day to fix bugs, answer customer queries, launch new features, and build a GTM motion.
So, I started “hiring” AI employees using OpenClaw. That was the subject of the webinar.
I'm putting in 70 hour weeks but I have more energy and excitement than any time in my career. AI has allowed me to be a full end-to-end creator and I am locked in.
I gave myself until December 2026 to make this work. Nothing like a deadline to drive momentum.
