Howard Caught the Fraud. Then He Fixed My Workout.

My AI chief of staff flagged a bogus $1,500 charge, then pulled my best-ever training block out of 5 years of my own data.

A $1,500 charge hit one of my credit cards last week. I have my bookkeeper to thank for catching it.

My bookkeeper is Howard, my AI chief of staff. I wrote last month about the wealth app that consolidates all of my entities, and I use it regularly. But more importantly, Howard sends me daily updates and morning briefs, gets me prepared for my day, and flags anything he thinks I need to pay attention to.

Last week he flagged that transaction. He couldn't classify it, and he couldn't find any receipt in my email to match it. Chase agreed it was fraud and sent a new card right away.

I'm impressed. So, naturally I am always looking for more to give Howard.

I recently did a DEXA scan, which is basically the most honest assessment of your body composition you can find. I was disappointed in the results. I haven't been working out that hard in the past 6 months, and I thought my body would just stay the same. But no, muscle atrophy is a real thing, and it sucks. It's part of the reason I attempted Mount Shasta and didn't make the summit.

So I built a health tracker app this week (inspired by my wealth tracker) that encompasses every piece of historical data about my health. It's 5 years of detailed workouts, sleep, weight, blood panels, and even DNA. It went live on Tuesday with live ongoing daily feeds. And that's when the Howard conversations got interesting.

I told him I wanted to start a new workout routine. I was brainstorming all these new types of workouts I could try, and he stopped me point blank. (He calls me out like this a lot.)

"Let's look at the data. In November 2024 you had the best muscle mass and body composition of your history, and the 3 months before that show a workout routine of 5x5 Olympic movements. Why would you do anything other than recreate that same routine?"

Hard to argue with facts like that. That's exactly the routine I'm doing now. Thanks, Dr. Howard.

Every week my workout app gets updated with the new weight increases and the reasoning behind them. And I get an accountability email tracking my protein intake against my goals.

So now Howard knows everything about my business, my wealth, and now everything about my health.

That context is the whole trick. He notices what I'd miss and calls me on it. Sometimes it's a bogus charge. Sometimes it's a workout plan I already proved works, buried in 5 years of my own data, waiting for somebody to actually read it.
